Global Entrepreneurship Week is the world's largest celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch start-ups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare.

"It's about you and your
business idea!"

From the 16-22 November, Global Entrepreneurship Week inspires people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators.

These activities, from large-scale competitions and events to smaller networking gatherings, see participants connect with potential collaborators, mentors and even investors, introducing them to new possibilities and exciting new opportunities.

People who start-up in business aren't really that different to everyone else. What sets them apart is that they have a vision and do something about their ideas.

"The first thing to do is to find out whether your idea has the potential to be a business and make your idea a reality!"

Sure, starting a business is daunting. It requires hard work, vision, commitment, quite possibly a loan or other funding and, of course, regular ongoing support.

And that's where Jonathan Vowles Chartered Accountants comes in. Support is what we do, and we're very, very good at it. We know how we can make a positive difference.

So for our contribution to Start-Up Saturday, JVCA is running an Entrepreneur's Surgery on Saturday 21st November at our offices in Cranfield. If you're thinking of starting a business then getting it right from day one is vitally important, and also very difficult to do.

"Would you like some free advice from one of the leading firm of accountants in the area?"

Just get in touch by email, call us on 0333 335 0422 to book a slot, or you can just turn up between 10am and 12.30pm on 21 November at at 114 High Street, Cranfield, MK43 0DG.

Until next time ...

More about Jonathan Vowles ...

I've been an accountant in and for business since 1987 and have a wide experience of consultancy, audit, accounts, taxation and wealth planning work from individuals and small businesses to multinational corporations and charities.

My eclectic interests in growing and developing business span a number of areas … and can be summarised as strategic business advice and tax saving advice.

I have worked with the Chamber of Commerce to deliver courses for people about starting up in business and have lectured about tax for a major accountancy practice and for Milton Keynes College.

I relax by reading fiction and by getting away from the office in a campervan.
